For both audio and visual technologies, identify one traditional and one emerging technology from the book, and explain how you could potentially use all four devices in the classroom. Post your responses on your blog page you created for this class.
For my students whose learning style is auditory, I would allow them to use tape recorders in my classroom. This will allow them to have access to a lesson I have previously taught, outside of the classroom. If I'm explaining how to solve a two step algebraic equation but they forgot the second step, they will have access to my lesson on the tape recorder. They will be able to refer back to the tape to answer questions they may have. I would also use the computer CD-ROM. This will allow my students to play the CD that comes with most books. These Cd's read the book aloud while the students follow along in the book. I have found these helpful in my grade school years. The CD-ROM could be used for multiple other reasons as well.
For my students who would prefer visuals opposed to auditory, I would use a digital projector. A digital projector would allow me to share information with large groups and I would not have to write it on a white board or chalk board. I could potentially use this to show how to work out math problems. I would also use bulletin boards in my classroom. This is where I could hang my math posters that have various formulas on them to serve as a constant reminder to the students. If they continuously see these posters, then they are more likely to remember the information on them. The bulletin is also where I would hang up well done work to motivate students.

Chapter Six
According to chapter six of the book, technology is an innovative way to teach and learn in classrooms. I would prefer to have a classroom with more technology mostly because it will allow me to teach more in a shorter period of time with the proper devices to fit the different learning styles. The book points out that there are various softwares and hardwares that are available for almost any lesson I could teach in the future. Technology has had a positive impact on the outcome of classrooms in many ways. Having access to more technology could serve as a helping fiqure to provide the assistance needed for my students, icluding the deaf, blind, or other disabled students I may have present in my classroom. Scanners, digilizers, and the other devices listed in the chapter could not only be benfical to me, but to my students as well. Technology allows the students to have a hands-on learnng experience, while also allowing me to interect and engage in their lesson with them.
